‘Twinkling Stars’ Preschool Programme
BABY BOOGIES

Who is it for?     18 month to 3 years

Cost: £16.20 / month

Watch your child begin their journey into the love of dance - They will get to explore an exciting new theme each term. 

Using action songs your child will learn their first dance movements, enhanced by the use of musical instruments and colourful props.  Your child will shine as they develop their musicality, coordination and confidence. 

One adult is invited to attend the class with their little dancer.

TOTS DANCE & PRESCHOOL DANCE 

Who is it for?   2 1/2  years to 4 1/2 years

Cost: £18.00/month(tots)

£19.80/month (Pre-school) 

When your child is ready to move up from Baby Boogies, usually around 2 1/2 to 3 years old. Hopefully they will be happy to come into the class independently but if not we can help transition from you being in the studio with them.

Please note at present due to government guidelines regarding Covid we are unable to have parents in the room. For this reason you might choose to stay in Boogies for a little longer.

Your child will learn basic dance movements to give them a strong ballet foundation which will assist them in any dance genre.

Every term we go on a different adventure evolving a magical journey, created by the teacher and the little dancers. 

Once your child is in their pre-school year at school they will be excited to get their first pair of tap shoes, developing rhythm, improvisation and musicality.

This is the natural next stage for pupils who have graduated from our ‘Twinkling Stars’ programme and learnt a strong dance foundation. New dancers are also welcome to join our Core or Fusion package or both.  There is also the opportunity to join our Stage and Song Classes 

CORE CLASSES - Ballet, Tap & Modern 

At this age they will start learning the globally recognised syllabi for The Royal Academy of Dance (Ballet) and The Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (Tap).

From P3 Modern is added to their core classes, in which they will learn musical theatre, jazz and lyrical style. Emphasis in this class is on travelling steps, kicks and turns while improving flexibility and strength. This is a highly popular energetic dance class. 

FUSION CLASSES-  Acro, Lyical & Streetdance.

Acro combines acrobatics and classical dance technique. It’s highly effective in developing grace and suppleness and is exciting to watch and perform. 

Lyrical dance is a story-telling, emotive form of dance. The choreography uses ballet, contemporary and jazz technique.

Streetdance - begins with a funky, aerobic warm-up, great for stamina building, then we concentrate on streetdance tricks and travelling steps. The class always finishes with a dance routine that is developed throughout the term - one term it could be an up-to-date commercial piece and the next an old-school classic.

STAGE & SONG is our confidence building and creativity focused drama and singing classes. Children will study improvisation, scriptwork and projection.  They will be given performance opportunities. 

'Shining Stars'
7-11 year olds

Stage & Song - Drama and Singing

Cost: Core £37.80 - £48.60 / month

(depending on grade) 

Fusion £32.40 -£37.80 / month

Stage & Song £21.60-£28.80 / month

Our ‘Shining Stars’ are given expert teaching to help them further their technique, develop their musicality and be more expressive through dance. We welcome pupils who have graduated from our ‘Rising Stars’ programme and also new pupils. 

Core Classes 

Pupils will get to progress through their grades in Ballet (The Royal Academy of Dance) and Modern and Tap (The Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing).

Many pupils at this age choose to add more genres of their dance to their weekly schedule and they can join the following recreational classes:

Fusion Classes

Stage and Song is our confidence building and creativity focussed drama and singing classes. Children will study improvisation, scriptwork and projection. Stage and Song pupils will be given the opportunity to be entered for their first prestigious LAMDA drama exam.

Your child will also have the opportunity to be taught by west-end teachers and directors at our West End summer school.

Pupils who show promise and  increasing dedication to their classes are asked to join our ‘Performance Group’

Our ‘Dazzling Stars’  dance programme is for high school aged pupils who want to increase their dance training,  further their dance technique and take their performance to the next level. 

 

Pupils get to progress through their grades in Ballet (The Royal Academy of Dance) and modern, Jazz and Tap (The Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing) working up to the professional grades. 

 

Fusion

Your child will also have the opportunity to be taught by west-end teachers and directors at our West End summer school.

‘Leading Stars’
14+ year olds
Ballet, Tap, Modern, Stage & Song, Acro, Street, Cheer, Lyrical, Pre-Pointe, Stretch.

Who is it for?     14-18 year olds

Cost: Core £48.60  / month

Fusion £37.80 / month

Our most senior programme ‘Leading Stars’ Is  equally beneficial for the pre-professional dancer and also young adults who plan to go to College, University or into the workplace after school. 

 

We emphasise the positive benefits of making activity and incorporating the arts into their weekly routine.

 

Dance is traditionally disciplined.  This helps your teen with the importance of time management, presentation and good work ethics. 

 

Parents and pupils alike will be happy to hear that RAD Ballet, ISTD Modern and Tap and LAMDA drama exams are worth UCAS points. 

 

Leading start can also choose to study Fusion (Lyrical, Acro and Street) and also Pointe classes..
