Children should be accompanied by one adult.
This class is for children aged 2 1/2 to 4
Every term we choose a different adventure which turns into a magical journey created by the teacher and the little dancers
The class is enhanced with the use of diverse music style and fun props. The children learn basic dance movements to make a strong foundation for whatever dance style they choose to study in the future.
We offer RAD graded classes from age 4 (Pre-Primary) to Grade 6
The Royal Academy of Dance syllabus is one of the most influential dance education and training organisations. The Graded Examinations in Dance syllabus provides a broad practical dance education and develops technical, musical and performance skills.
We also offer Intermediate Foundation Classes
The Vocational Graded Examinations in Dance syllabus provides an in-depth study of ballet, develops technique, music and performance skills and introduces pointe work for female candidates for pupils age 11 and over.
Modern and Jazz from age 4 (grade 1) to Intermediate classes
In our Istd Theatre branch classes there is a strong emphasis on developing strong technique. Modern and Jazz dancing are often seen on the stages of musical productions. The style uses travelling steps, high kicks, leaps and turns which all need strength and flexibility.
This is a highly energetic dance style.
We offer tap classes from age 4.
Tap dancing is a great way to develop rhythm and style.
Tap dancing is most generally associated with the films and musicals of Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly.
In a very short space of time you can gain a real sense of accomplishment in tap and with a little practice you will be able to impress with your new tap dancing skills.
from age 4
This class starts with a funky aerobic warm-up which builds stamina, increases flexibility and improves strength. Dancers then work on their streetdance tricks. The class finishes with a routine that is developed throughout the term consisting of the latest commercial dance moves and some classic moves too.

'Our girls have been dancing with Dance Connection since they were 18months old and love their classes. Carla and the team are wonderful and dancers can take part in the DC show at Macrobert which is wonderful for those taking part as well as family and friends. I highly recommend Dance Connection to dancers young and old!
