The Dance Connection was established in 2000 by Carla Duggan RAD RTS AISTD.

Carla trained at The Theatre School, Edinburgh completing 3 years on the Professional Dancer's Course. Carla is a registered teacher and mentor with the Royal Academy of Dance and an associate of the Imperial Society of Teacher's of Dancing.  She was a member of the Scottish regional advisory commitee for the RAD for 7 years.  Carla has also choreographed for Scottish Youth Theatre.
Dance Connection offers classes in Ballet, Tap, Modern, Jazz and Street.  Classes are held in Callander, Bridge of Allan, Aberfoyle and Balfron.  We have classes from pre-school to adults. 


EXAMS
Pupils have the opportunity to work for Royal Academy of Dance (Ballet) and Imperial Society of Dance (Modern, Tap and Jazz) exams.  Exams are not compulsory.   We also have streetdance and tap classes which consist only of freework. 



PERFORMANCES
We hold our shows at the Macrobert Arts Centre in Stirling.  Our next show dates are the 1st to 3rd June 2012. We are also asked to perform in various events and shows throughout the year. Last year we danced in front of a crowd of 10,000 for the Irn-Bru can clan, sharing a stage withThe Zutons and our performance group 'Decadence' reached the short-list for sky1's 'Got To Dance'.






The Dance Connection believes that ALL people can benefit from dance.  Not only does it increase general fitness levels  and wellbeing, dance also develops  confidence, co-ordination and musicality.
We aim for all our pupils to leave their class feeling a sense of achievement helping them reach their full potential
